She then trimmed some length from my long hair to allow me to wear it out and still look good. This all seemed to be over done with in a matter of about 20-25 minutes, far quicker than I thought it would take, and that's even with completely redoing the back and sides on a #1 setting. She was also helpful with tips on styling.

I'm a guy with long curly hair and had Tina shorten it up and she did a fantastic job. Even everywhere along with her friendly time efficient service.

I'd done my research on trendy haircuts ahead of time and brought my iPad with me with photos and a list of requirements. Karen let me get started early and was patient while I went over exactly what I wanted. I was shooting for a "disconnected undercut" on the sides and back, with full-length hair on top (shortened and tidied up a bit). I was going to sport a man-bun but also to have the versatility to style it in several different ways.

I'm a mid 40's guy who had been growing long straight hair for about 3 years. It was past shoulder length. I wanted a completely new style so I decided to go to Robin's Nest to see if they might be more trustable than some of the other places in town. Past experiences elsewhere left me feeling less than confident that I'd get a decent cut so tried Robin's Nest to see if they could do better. The men's haircut was still only $15 which, for the amount of transformation I got out of it, is very inexpensive.

Karen made short work of the back and sides and allowed me to see what a #2 cut would look like in comparison to a #1. Honestly I had no idea whether to go for a #1 or not but with her advice I did. She also had good points to make about where to put the side partings, ie where the buzz-cut would stop and the long hair would start. She did a great job creating a smooth line around the head where the short and long hair meet, and made it look easy.

I thought perhaps the inside of the salon might be a bit different to others, since it's a small local chain and not like some of the other franchises. It more or less looks like a typical haircutting place. It was comfortable enough and I felt relaxed. It wasn't very busy as the time either.

Love to get my hair cut and permed there. Always had really good service there.

I would recommend this place and will be going there again in future.

Overall I absolutely love the new haircut. It's the best haircut I've ever had and a real major change from what I had before. This is the most adventurous haircut I've ever tried but it looks great and I feel very good about how I look. Karen did a great job and really seemed to know what she as doing without fuss or confusion.

Love my new hair!
