Maranatha is a small conservative Christian college where the the commands and principles of the Bible are used to guide their education. Students are held to a number of rules, however, they are not as restrictive or controlling as many equivalent Christian colleges. With their regional accreditation and positive standing in national school comparisons, students graduating from Maranatha are competitive in the job market. Maranatha offers a variety of degrees in Education, Music, Ministry, Nursing, Business, and other fields as they are able. Students also have an opportunity to participate in sports, ROTC, drama, and ministry in local churches. The school isn't perfect, but it offers young Christian men and women and opportunity to obtain higher education and prepare themselves for their future career while strengthening their walk with the Lord.
Don't go here unless you're uber conservative politically and religously. You will face hard discrimination and they won't do anything about it. Expect every subject to incorporate the Bible, no matter how much they have to stretch to force it in. Logic and science are optional (if they agree with their ideology, otherwise prohibited).

Maranatha did an extreme amount of harm to myself, my relationships, and my marriage all in the name of "helping" me. I guess their history, lit, and nursing programs are fairly good. I wouldn't argue for any of their other programs though.
Maranatha is a Christ honoring university. It teaches a biblical worldview while equipping students to be prepared in their field of service. One of the things that I most appreciate about Maranatha is its strong local church emphasis. I can't think of a better place for a young person to go as they pursue building their future.
